Exhibition runs January 10 - June 22, 2019

This exhibition celebrates the unique vision of each artist and the way they “see” the intricacies of the Santa Barbara watershed. The Rose Compass are using their art to connect people with the beauty of the watershed and awaken them to its fragility.

Sullivan Goss

Opening Reception Thursday October 4th 5-8pm

Sullivan Goss Gallery would like to give you an exclusive opportunity to preview the highly anticipated exhibition, The River's Journey - A Wider View. The exhibition will officially open on October 4th, but collectors may view and acquire pieces from our website starting now, and in person at the gallery at 9am on Monday, October 1st.

The River’s Journey: A Wider View at Sullivan Goss is the third installation of work by six artists calling themselves Rose Compass. Artists include Connie ConnallyHolli HarmonLibby SmithNicole StrasburgNina Warner, and Pamela Zwehl-BurkeRiver’s Journey: One Year, Six Artists, Ninety-two Miles showed at the Wildling Museum in Solvang earlier this year. A new exhibit was created and installed at the Santa Barbara City Hall Gallery in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Santa Barbara. Another interpretation of the exhibition will open at Westmont Museum of Art in January 2019. The installation at Sullivan Goss takes on a broader perspective by showing larger oil paintings by each artist as well as the small gouache paintings that originally inspired this group to paint together.

Come to the opening. Explore, acquire, network, and celebrate!
