"The Nature of Clouds"
My fascination with clouds was enthusiastically explored during The River’s Journey Project. I was looking at water in all of its forms by following the water cycle. This transpiration circle begins and ends in the clouds; water’s highest source.
A Norfolk Island Pine tree floats in the middle of the room under a bright blue cloud studded sky. Large chandelier crystals are suspended by invisible threads from ceiling to floor mimicking a rain shower. Smaller kokedama moss balls are planted with coleus, spider plants and succulents. These are suspended throughout at different levels creating a floating plant forest in the midst of crystal rain. Centered below are three large tree trunks. Their faces are covered with mirror and reflect back the sky and plants and light patterns reflecting through the hundreds of floating crystals.
